The New York State Department of Transportation issued an alert advising that from 10 p.m. on 5:30 a.m., from Monday, June 18 through Friday, 22 there will be closures on both interstates in the town of Southeast.
Motorists are advised that overnight ramp closures have been scheduled as part of the ongoing pavement construction project occurring on Interstate 684 in the town of Southeast, Putnam County beginning Monday, June 18, through Friday, June 22, weather permitting. Each closure is expected to occur between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
Road and ramp closures announced include:
- The I-84 eastbound and westbound ramps to Exit 20S (I-684 South) are expected to be closed Monday, June 18, Tuesday, June 19, and Friday, June 22.
- The I-84 eastbound to Exit 20N (Route 22 north) is expected to be closed on Wednesday, June 20.
- The I-684 northbound ramp to Exit 9W (I-84 West) is expected to be closed on Wednesday, June 20.
- The I-684 southbound ramps to Exit 9E (I-84 East) and Exit 9W (I-84 West) are expected to be closed on Thursday, June 21.
During the scope of the project, there will be detours posted and flaggers in the area to assist with the flow of traffic.
